Imagine
a place where kids have so much fun learning about how
awesome God is that they don’t want to miss a single
week! That’s the goal of our Sunday morning
ministry for kids from 3 years old through grade 5 –
PROMISELAND!
Promiseland
meets Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in
four separate age-level categories: 3 and 4 year olds, kindergarten-1st
grade; 2nd-3rd; and 4th-5th. In each age group, a combination
of large group and small group activities provide creative,
relevant, and fun Bible-based learning experiences for
kids. Other key features include contemporary live music
and caring small group leaders who shepherd their group
of 10 kids or less throughout the hour.
The
Promiseland curriculum that the K-5 graders learn from was
developed at Willow Creek Church in Barrington, Illinois.
There are 5 principles (The Five "G’s")
upon which the curriculum content is based, and which
help children learn how to become fully devoted followers
of Jesus Christ. These five principles are: Grace, Growth,
Group, Gifts, and Good Stewarship. "5-G Kids"
acquire the kind of spiritual resources that will enable
them to grow up to love God and actively serve His purposes
in all areas of their lives. AND, they have a FANTASTIC
time doing it!
The 3 and 4 year old class uses Group's Hands On Curriculum.
