Young Adults Ministry Coordinator

As the young adult's ministry coordinator, my goal is to have a place for the young adults at Oak Haven Church to have fun and to discuss culturally relevant topics about God. The ministry itself is called My vision for the young adult's ministry is to provide opportunities for young adults to gather and hang out in an affordable way. Any young adult can tell you that college is not cheap! Through this ministry we have enjoyed discussing: spiritual warfare, why we run from God, how the media can help us share the gospel, what it would be like to walk in Peter's shoes, spiritual gifts, and secular versus Christian music.

We have also enjoyed doing many events such as: Camping at Big Sandy, Sonshine Music Festival, water fights, board game nights, movie nights, hiking at Taylor 's Falls and more. These trips have been a blast to plan and even a better time to hang out! I am very thankful to be a part of this ministry.

This ministry has been a blessing to me. I am so thankful that God has given me this opportunity to serve the young adults at Oak Haven church. I'm looking forward to serve Him more through mission trips, camping retreats, and other ministry events.  (Katie Jo Whitney)
